21. U Bein Bridge, Myanmar

Constructed in the 1850s, the U Bein Bridge is a historic teakwood structure spanning Taungthaman Lake in Myanmar. At 1.2 kilometers long, it is the world's longest teakwood bridge and a testament to traditional craftsmanship. However, due to the use of less durable materials and the passage of time, the bridge is now facing significant deterioration. To address safety concerns and local crime rates, a police force has been stationed to guard the bridge. Despite these challenges, U Bein remains a popular destination for its scenic beauty and cultural significance.
